Credit and Debit Card Fraud Protection

AdelFi is committed to protecting our members' assets. Our fraud monitoring system screens card activity 24/7. To report a lost or stolen debit card, call 888.241.2510 domestically or 909.941.1398 internationally. To report a lost or stolen credit card, call 800.VISA.911 domestically or 727.570.4849 internationally.

Identity Theft & Phishing

AdelFi will never request your personal identification or account information via our website or email. If you receive any email requesting this information, be suspicious, do not respond, and notify AdelFi.

Do not open emails from financial institutions that you are not expecting to hear from or if you are not sure who sent the email. Never provide your data, including your Social Security number, account numbers or passwords, or other sensitive information over the phone or Internet unless you initiate the call.

If you fall victim to an attack, act immediately and place fraud alerts on all your credit accounts. Monitor your credit accounts and bank account statements closely. Finally, report suspicious emails or phone calls to the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov or by calling 1.877.IDTHEFT. Simple ways to protect yourself

  • Download and use AdelFi's Mobile App so you can always access your account.
  • Keep a close eye on your account activity by setting automatic Notifications. Set customized text or email reminders to stay on top of your accounts automatically.
  • Protect your credit card accounts as well with fraud alerts.
  • Use strong passwords, and never share your username, password, or security questions with anyone.
  • Monitor your credit reports through credit agencies. Sign up for SavvyMoney via Online Banking to monitor your credit score for free.
  • Don’t open links in emails or texts unless you know their authenticity.
  • Before sending money or initiating payments, always confirm/verify the recipient (or requestor) is who they say they are
  • Keep your devices up to date (operating system and antivirus updates)
  • Never send sensitive information (account number, social security number, password, etc.) by email
  • Use unique passwords for every login
  • Setup your devices to automatically lock and require strong authentication (biometrics and strong passcodes) to unlock

AdelFi Will Never Call and Ask For Your Personal Information

Fraudsters may pose as AdelFi Credit Union team members trying to access your account and personal information. Even if the phone number looks like an AdelFi number, know we’ll never call, text, or email you asking for your personal information. If unsure, hang up or delete the text/email and contact us directly.
