Abel Pomar

Abel Pomar was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of AdelFi by the Board of Directors in February 2016. Mr. Pomar joined AdelFi in August 2014 as Chief Operations Officer from Bank of America, where he led the delivery of regulatory compliance change and transformation initiatives across the enterprise. During his seven years at Bank of America, he held various leadership positions, including roles in global marketing and corporate affairs, technology delivery, mergers and acquisitions, change management, strategic planning and continuous improvement, and finance.

Abel’s experience in banking technology, regulations, compliance and process improvement combined with his long-time Christian walk brought a new God-directed vision for how AdelFi will better serve Christian ministries, individuals, families and small business owners in the years to come.

Mr. Pomar holds a bachelor’s degree in operations management and an MBA with a concentration in finance from California State University, Los Angeles.

Susan Rushing

Susan Rushing joined AdelFi in 2001 as Vice President of Banking and Payment Systems and has contributed to significant operational improvements throughout the credit union. Current areas of oversight for Ms. Rushing include Compliance and Internal Controls, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Field of Membership, Enterprise Risk Management, and Credit Administration and Underwriting. A CUNA Credit Union Enterprise Risk Management Expert, Ms. Rushing worked with Abel Pomar to develop AdelFi’s enhanced enterprise risk management framework.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Rushing held positions at First American Bank, First Arroyo Bank, and Lloyds Bank California. She served previously as a member of the board of directors of Stepping Stones for Women, a ministry organized to transform the lives of single mothers and their children. She is actively involved in Every One Free, a faith based organization established to fight human trafficking. Ms. Rushing holds a master’s in business administration from the University of La Verne and bachelor’s degree in small business management from Humboldt State University. She is also a certified Gallup Faith Strengths Coach.

Charles D. Kelly Jr.

Jimmy Lee

Jimmy joined AdelFi in March 2021. As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, he is responsible for the Credit Union’s brand, product, partnership, PR and digital marketing executions and plan. In addition, he oversees AdelFi’s consumer deposit products and membership growth and acquisition strategy.

Prior to joining AdelFi, Jimmy served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Answer Financial (an Allstate Insurance Company), Chief Marketing Officer at First Entertainment Credit Union, and Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing Communications for Bank of Hope. He has held additional roles and responsibilities both in-house and as a PR and marketing consultant to leading Fortune 100 corporations and governmental entities, such as: AT&T, Merrill Lynch, MetLife, State Farm Insurance, the U.S. Army, the White House, Verizon Wireless, UPS, Walmart, Warner Bros., and others.

Jimmy earned his B.A. in Communications from the University of the Pacific and is a graduate fellow of the University of Southern California’s School of Social Work. Jimmy has held numerous volunteer leadership positions with community non-profits, including: serving as Chairman of F.A.C.E (Faith Alliance for Community Empowerment),  Board Director for Habitat for Humanity – Los Angeles, Board Director for the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund, Board Director for Green Pastures Academy, Board Director for The Public Relations Society of America, Board Director for YMCA – Hollywood, and Advisory Board Chair for Junior Achievement of Southern California.

Bentley Hatcher

Bentley joined AdelFi in May 2021 as Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer. He is responsible for the direction and goals of the Credit Union’s lending department. He supervises all functions of consumer and commercial lending.

Prior to joining AdelFi, Mr. Hatcher served as Senior Vice President of Lending at Local Government Federal Credit Union from 2012-2021. During his tenure there Bentley also held various positions of responsibility, including Vice President of Lending from 2010-2012, Commercial Lending Manager from 2009-2010 and Senior Loan Officer from 2006-2009. While at LGFCU Bentley was instrumental in starting the commercial lending program and growing the consumer loan portfolio to over $ 2 Billion.

Prior to joining LGFCU, Bentley worked in the banking industry with a focus on commercial lending. He has over 26 years of lending experience with an emphasis on portfolio management and commercial credit analysis. Bentley has a BBA degree in economics from Oglethorpe University and is a graduate of the University of Georgia Banking School. Bentley has served on the boards of a lending CUSO and also as a board member of Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina.

Nicki Harms

Nicolette (Nicki) Harms joined AdelFi in August 2022, as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for providing overall financial direction to the Credit Union.

Prior to joining the team at AdelFi, Nicki was the SVP/CFO of America’s Christian Credit Union in Glendora, CA.   Her career there, which began in 1994, included roles in Finance and Accounting, with the last 14 years as the Chief Financial Officer. She was responsible for financial strategy and reporting, investment and liquidity management, asset liability management, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory reporting and exams, as well as providing oversight to the electronic payments team.

Nicki has a B.S. in Accounting from Azusa Pacific University and is a CPA. She and her husband have two grown daughters.  Nicki has been an active member of Rose Drive Friends Church for over 40 years, serving in various volunteer leadership roles.  She also serves as the Treasurer for the International Friendship Council of North Orange County, a non-profit organization that seeks to welcome international students studying in the US and to connect them with American friends.

Carey Price

Carey Price joined AdelFi in September 2023 as Senior Vice President, Chief Banking Officer and is responsible for the organization’s member experience, consumer banking (non-lending), and AdelFi’s overall consumer product strategy.

Carey has more than 25 years of credit union and banking experience. Prior to joining AdelFi, she was the Senior Vice President, Chief Retail Officer/Digital Strategy and Delivery at BCU. Carey joined Baxter Credit Union in 2006 from KEMBA Financial Credit Union.

In addition to Carey’s most recent experience leading digital strategy and delivery, she has a broad range of banking leadership experience, including retail banking, call center, sales/service, and the overall direction of member experience teams. Price earned her MBA in strategic management from DePaul University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from The Ohio State University.
